The Birmingham Six were six Irishmen who were wrongfully convicted of the 1974 Birmingham pub bombings in England. The bombings, which killed 21 people and injured 182, were the deadliest terrorist attack in England since World War II. The men, who were all from Northern Ireland, were arrested and charged with the bombings in November 1974. They were convicted in August 1975 and sentenced to life in prison.
