Emmerson Mnangagwa is the current President of Zimbabwe. He was sworn in as President on November 24, 2017, following the resignation of Robert Mugabe. Mnangagwa is a veteran of Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle and has held various government positions since independence in 1980.

Since taking office, Mnangagwa has sought to revive Zimbabwe’s ailing economy and improve its international standing. He has implemented a number of economic reforms, including the introduction of a new currency
