Ed Miliband is a British politician who served as Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of the Opposition from 2010 to 2015. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Doncaster North from 2005 to 2019.

Miliband was born in London to Jewish parents who had fled to Britain from Belgium in the 1930s. He was educated at the University of Oxford and the London School of Economics. After graduating, he worked as a researcher for the Labour Party and then as a policy
