Dara O Briain is an Irish comedian, television presenter, actor, and writer. He is best known for hosting the BBC Two panel show Mock the Week and for his work on the Irish television panel show The Panel.

O Briain was born in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, and attended Coláiste Eoin secondary school in Booterstown, Dublin. He studied mathematics and theoretical physics at University College Dublin, graduating with a first-class honours degree.
