1. Congo’s President Tshisekedi Appoints New Prime Minister: President Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has appointed a new prime minister, Sylvestre Ilunga Ilunkamba, to replace Bruno Tshibala. The appointment was made following a power-sharing agreement between the president and the opposition. Ilunga is a former minister of foreign affairs and has held several other ministerial positions in the past.
