Category: Airline emissions

Airline emissions have become a major environmental concern in recent years. As air travel continues to increase, so do the emissions from airplanes. The aviation industry is responsible for about two percent of global carbon dioxide emissions, and this number is expected to rise as more people travel by air.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has set goals to reduce airline emissions by 2020. This includes a goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2 percent, and a goal to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions
